This flower is from the Celosia family, sometimes referred to as cockscombs or coxcombs. There are many varieties, some growing to heights of 6 feet, some as small as 6 inches. Most Celosia produce a feathery plume, while the coxcomb varieties produce a comb-like feathery flower.
