White Tulips from the Fairy Land...

I don't really know why but for me these white tulips look as if they come from a fairy land but do not look like ordinary tulips. They seem to wear something like a veil and each moment you think something is coming out of these blossoms. I know my phantasy is carrying me far but then I am an artist you know and artists are always a bit crazy....

Garden Dreams...

Unfortunately we don't own a garden right now so I HAVE to rummage the gardens of our neighbourship. I am often seen - probably people consider me nuts in the meanwhile. Many might have seen me repeatedly, standing at fences and raving and drooling over the lovely treasures other people are calling their own, clickin' the camera again and again and wondering why this crazy woman is photographing those "ordinary" flowers for the 100th time. But probably I am going to take pictures for the 101rst time - I am sure...

Blossoms behind the Fence....

Sometimes the beautiful things are hidden behind bars or fences and the public is excluded to see them. In this case we can sneak peak through this wire fence and still enjoy what spring has to offer...

A Reflection on the Colour Red...

What does the colour red mean to you? Do you realize that the pure colour red does not appear very often in nature? I mean the colour code of #FF0000. This is the purest red, kind of tomato red, china red or vermilion, although the latter again have a slight touch of yellow, rather towards orange but without the slightest addition of blue.

More than just Blossoms...

Did it ever come to your mind that blossoms are more than just blossoms? So many people walk past them, never realizing what beauty is offered to them by nature. Their whole life is centered around their job, their kids, a husband - in the meanwhile mostly in this order. Isn't this neglecting life entirely? Your life? What is life for you?

The Dance of Spiraea and Forsythia...

Spring was very short this year but mother nature compensated us for this with the blooming of many plants at the same time - so you could enjoy blossoms which normally appear one after the other such as these - the dance of spiraea and forsythia:

More Balls but in Pink...

This time I have balls in pink to offer (not what you are thinking!). This year the cherry trees were exceptionally loaded with blossoms so that the branches seemed too fragile to carry their load...

Blossoms like Snowballs....

These cherry blossoms look really funny - they remind me of snowballs which is crazy of course but somehow looking at these makes me smile. And I like them much more than snowballs!!

Tulips with yellow Blooms but...

...somehow they are reminiscent of a flamenco dancer to me because of that tiny red rim just like the dancer's dresses - don't you agree?

Summer Aster - Blooms in purple or violet?

Now we have the lovely summer aster in violet or hot pink or even purple? Sooo difficult to define the colours - even for me as a painter - and additionally all images look different depending on the monitor you have got. What a dilemma!! :)

Blooms - It's only Wallcress but the Colours...

I love wallcress. Tiny little flowers which are often neglected but did you realize that if they are cared for with love they become real jewels - the colours are so intense, amazingly beautiful in their simplicity - but see for yourself...

Cherry Blossoms in rosé...

This very light pink cherry tree you won't see too often in our area. It growing form is different from all other cherry trees - somehow it reminds me of a poplar.

The Wallcress is blooming....

The wallcress is now blooming everywhere and creating "cushions" of bold colour. How would this be as a cushion to sleep on? The right ones for a fairy. But there will be more - much more...

A Colour between blue and purple....

Depending on the setting of your monitor - this colour appears blue or deeply violet. I have hardly seen a colour so intense such as this on a bloom.
