Dahlias are the last flowers of summer. I love them very much for their colour intensity. But it is also an ambivalent love - knowing that the cold times are not far away any more...

I just came in from a walk around my garden. I am going to miss it this winter. I need to rush out and buy pansies to add back the color! We still have above normal temperatures for around here. I might have to put that off for a while.
Yes - we also have late summer temperatures and I love it!!!
