My Epiphyllum
Up till now I have shown you what other people have in their gardens or what's blooming in the parks in Munich but this time I show you what I have on my balcony: these are my Epiphyllum beauties:

And you might not know this - these are the fruits of the bloom - they taste deliciously!!! I did not even notice the fruit until it was grown to a nice size of a pigeon egg...

And this is an Epiphyllum that has not bloomed for 15 years - I did not even know any more what colour the blooms originally had and this year it happened - 4 blooms with a size of about 5 inches in diameter like these:
I wonder whether these will have some fruit too....

The Beauty Queen of all Roses
I have never seen a rose such as this one - breathtakingly beautiful, as if constructed from some heavenly silk material...
It is even still beautiful when it started to decay...

Look at this colour. Isn't it amazing? People consider these as pesky weeds but are you aware that butterflies love these and other insects? The next time before you tear them out you may think about it twice...
More orange Beauties - Roses
First photos of roses this year - ahhhh the perfume they create is devine...

Violet, violet and more violet...
Rhododendron is not only a wonderful plant, growing to real trees in Southern England f.e. or in Nepal, but with awsome blossoms in all colours...

Waiting for the Poppies also...
The weather currently is so ugly that I try to console myself with last year's colours...

More Rhododendron Blossoms...
These wonderful Rhododendron bushes have disappeared in the meanwhile. So these are images of last year. What a loss!!!
Rosa Canina
These are simple blossoms but despite their simplicity they are beautiful and graceful and their smell is just lovely. They are growing everywhere but hardly anyone seems to notice them...
Rhododendron Time...
I love the blossoms of Rhododendron. Their colours are so intense and when they grow into real forests such as in southern England it just looks awsome.
