This flower somehow always makes me think about an elegant lady. Maybe its the straight growth, the elegant setting in which the single blooms appear....
Hi talen, thank you for your kind words. Somehow I love these also very much. Many people think they are so common - but I don't and if you care to take a close look - the blooms are beautiful in their details. And they look really elegant in a big vase...although I prefer living flowers in their natual habitat instead of the dead ones in the vase...
Therse are beautiful. I took a picture of my hibiscus flowers the other day but they didn't turn out this nice.
ReplyDeletethese are gorgeous Petra....
ReplyDeletethe first one photo is stunning and I think your comparison to an elegant lady is very fitting..

Absolutely beautiful and excellent photography...My favorite flowers.
ReplyDeletehi dena - these are no hibiscus blossoms but "gladiolus" and belong to the family if Iridaceae (the plant family of the iris).
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting!
Hi Kim - thanks again for your kind words - have a great weekend too (although when I look at my clock - it might me already over in your area - LOL)

Hello Heather - this is very kind of you to say!
ReplyDeleteYour photos look like they could have been painted by Georgia O'Keeffe. Gorgeous. Do you paint? They'd make wonderful watercolor models.
